I think your intimate, up-close, lively water scenes are amongst my favourites of your work Clive. Hasn't anyone told you, you can't do that with watercolour? Splendid, as always. John.
Hi John, thanks for visiting...hee hee...I was kind of looking at Wyeth's stuff lately, huge areas of rich dark with somei ntense light in it...hope to do more of this sort of thing for the next while as I find time for it. The garden is eating my time and in return I get a few vegetables to eat.
Hey Michael, thanks so much for that. Yeah, I still kept the blog, as I don't put everything on the website. But I don't post or browse as much as I did, particularly now summers here. The animation work has finally more or less dried up so I'm not at the computer as much; quite happy about that really, I wasn't really that swift at it all things considered. I do, however, get to your Articles and Texticles and Lines and Colours fairly regularly, always interesting. Particularly enjoy looking at those lovely drawings and watercolours on your posts about art direction in the British film industry.
Hi Clive I first became a fan of yours when I saw some of your paintings in Per Christenson's Gallery in Peterborough. Your play with water intriques me. Great colour seletion, lively brushwork and nice use of light.
Hi Winston, nice chatting this evening. I didn't see this comment on this post, I don't check back this far. I'll try typing in your URL for a visit to your blog tomorrow.
Clive has painted and exhibited watercolour, and also painted for animated film and television, for 25 years. He is presently a submerging artist working in Cumberland, BC, Canada. For information on pricing and availability of paintings please contact the above galleries.

This is such lovely work. I'm glad you are keeping up the blog part of your web presence.
I just left a mention of you and your work on the Animation Nation website, in a discussion about water colour.

Yea Wyeth's dark/light paintings are terrific and so are these river scenes. Good show, Clive!
